Shrek Cowl

A custom made headpiece for the character Shrek. Slit in the back to help with getting on. Spirit gum is generally the adhesive of choice (not provided) to seal the edges to the face. This cowl is consider a large size for a bigger adult male performer. It is not stretchable, but made of a rather dense and structured rubber. It’s shape is as you see it and it will not suck in and cling to your actors face (like say a latex application would). Therefore this is very much a pre-formed made for one size head, and only one size (which is large adult with fairly large and chubby face-a true Shrek! lol). You could possibly pack with extra foam for a smaller head and that may work, but this suggestion is not tested and therefore no guarantee. Rental of this piece is non-refundable if rented and then ultimately not used (as it will still be out of our inventory and not available for use by anyone else).

Special note: Cowls for Shrek are in general very challenging to get right. If you look at our Shrek costume listing you will see it doesn’t fit well on a taller slender built male. His face is too thin and neck too tall. There is not a “”one size fits all”” situation. They really need to be custom made specifically to the size of your actor’s head. At this point we have not been able to invest the resources in working out any more decent options for this need. This is the best (and only) option we feel meets our quality standards and thus available for our customers to rent. There are several prosthetic makers on Etsy that make good latex pieces for this character that you could consider.
